Terms of service

150wires is a small, family owned business - we don't rip people off or sell substandard products.

Under Australian Law, you have rights and guarantees, which are explained here.

In accordance Australian Consumer Law, the following applies:

  • If your purchase is faulty or arrives damaged, we will work with you to resolve the issue.
  • If the product is damaged as a result of incorrect installation or use, we are willing to assist but may be limited in our capability on the basis of manufacturer advice or policy regarding use or installation of that product.
  • Depending on what the issue is, we may be able to repair the item, replace it with another, or refund the original purchase price. In almost every case however, we will need it returned to us so we can determine what to do.
  • We don't offer refunds for "change of mind" purchases - that is, when you buy something and then decide not to use it.

The majority of products we sell are made by manufacturers other than us, so there may be a need to consult with the original manufacturer to determine what the best way to resolve the issue is. In some cases these products are manufactured outside Australia so there may be a delay in obtaining advice from the manufacturer.

If this happens:

  • We will do this - you are not expected to contact the manufacturer directly
  • We will keep you informed as to the progress and expected timeframe to sort it
  • We act in accordance with manufacturer instructions - for example, if they ask for an item to be returned to them for inspection or repair, this is what we will do.

What we ask of you:

  • Be honest with us - things go wrong, we all make mistakes. Our goal is to help resolve issues, and honest communication makes this happen much easier;
  • Contact us in the first instance - we can't fix what we don't know about
  • If you're happy with us, tell your friends - if you're not happy - tell us

Additionally, we can't be held responsible for damage to your vehicle by using parts we supply. All items should be installed by a licenced mechanic or auto electrician, and most product warranties will also stipulate this. You should also check with your dealer or vehicle manufacturer as to possible impacts on your car's warranty if you fit aftermarket parts.

150wires is not responsible for any unintended effects or outcomes to your vehicle through the use of products we sell. As the owner of the vehicle it is your responsibility and your decision as to what items you fit, modify or otherwise adjust outside the specifications set by the manufacturer.

All goods sold and supplied by Us are bound by the above conditions - by purchasing from us you're agreeing to these conditions and understand our processes.
